Hals Auto Care was a true find for my family. Finding a reliable auto shop is one of life's great searches. Over the numerous years that we have used Hals, we have been extremely satisfied with not only the work but with the employees and staff. We have, on several occations, has a problem that resurfaced again and since they repaired it the first time, it was repaired again at no charge. I highly recommend Hals for your auto needs
Finding an honest auto repair shop ranks up there with the best things that can happen and Hal's is now at the top of my list!
I have been a client of Hal's for at least 5 years now. They have helped me keep my 175K+ towing vehicle safe & running with an ongoing list of priorities and items that can wait a bit...they also take care of our newer vehicles (2002 & 2007). Mike stands by his work! Hal's recently honored his 12mo/12,000mi warranty on a major job on my oldest car, arguably when other age related issues could have affected the performance of his original work. I was told it was covered...didn't have to ask.
I highly recommend Hal's Auto...fair prices, honest work, friendly people, and a shuttle if needed. You just can't beat them.
As usual, My patronage at Hal's was very satisfying . Kenny Ramos was most accomadating in helping me drop off and pickup the car when finished. The air cond. now works perfectly.. I have reccommended Hal's to my friends in the past , and will continue to do so ... Thanks again , Ken, for all you did
For my car being towed in after 5:00, day before a holiday, my car was completed quickly and professionally! Great experience experience once again. Highly recommend Hal's!
The service was complete and low pressure. Kenny conferred with me about the service without talking down to me. Much appreciated.
My recent visit to Hal's was due to my vehicle's A/C not cooling after a very thorough $1800 overhaul on a '98 Tahoe with 136K miles on it performed 23 months and 3k miles ago. The diagnostic showed several coolant leaks and failure of some small parts...some of which were worked on two years ago and some not. I guessed that I might be in for some additional expense since not every possible component was repaired or replaced during the original O/H. Probably most of the original labor was still covered under the warranty, but not all of the parts. I guessed I might be in for some additional expense. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Hal's covered everything under the warranty. Actually I shouldn't have been surprised. This is the second vehicle I have entrusted to Hal's...with several major repairs over the past twenty plus years. I always expect a thorough job done right at a reasonable price...and for them to back up their work with a good warranty. They haven't disappointed me yet. That's why I keep coming back and recommend Hal's to anyone.
First off, this review cannot be based on their service, but rather on their honesty. Let me explain:
I took my car in because it seemed to be making a weird noise which occurred mostly in the morning right when the car started up and before it warmed up. I asked to leave my car there overnight so that they could take a look at the car when the issue occurred the following morning. I was also going to be out of town that next evening, and the gentleman at the front desk (I believe his name is Kenny) said that he had no problem with me picking it up the day after.
Kenny was very prompt in calling me the next morning to let me know that they started up my car and couldn't detect any noises that would raise any alarm. They recommended that I take my car across the street to get the transmission looked at (and provided me with a coupon for a free transmission inspection).
I picked up my car the next day (so TWO nights after I left it) and Kenny let me know that they wouldn't charge me for anything. So not only did they not charge me an extra fee for leaving my car there an extra day, they gave me their service cost free.
It is tough nowadays to find an honest mechanic (especially for young women). If/when (knock on wood) my car needs another service, I will take my car to Hal's Auto Care. I trust that they will service my car in an honest way.
As always, Hal's Auto Care came through -- and my car is 16 years old!
They're always right there when something goes wrong, or threatens to go wrong, and they get my car in promptly and let me know what my options are.
Sometimes (lately) it costs more than I wish it would, but I KNOW from past experience that it's a lot less at Hal's! And I know my car will be running well when they're finished.
Keep up the good work, guys! :)
Kenny and Mike over at Hals are great to work with! I have had the pleasure of working with them on 3 separate occasions aside from my last trip after the AC in my Supra stopped working again. They checked it out and seems it was a part that failed due to another part that failed that was covered under warranty and they covered the complete recharge of the AC system under the warranty from the original AC installation a year ago. If you need any AC work done or even regular automotive repair done I would highly recommend them. Great shop to work with.
