Best food during the day!. Great place for drinks and excellent food during the day. Daytime cook Dennis Prater offers daily specials that are spectactular. the daytime bartender on mon. tues. and wed. Tammy adds great atmosphere and pleasant conversation. The prices for drinks and food are quite reasonable. I recommend the sports pub for all.

The quintessential Sac State college bar.. The Scene
Stingers exists for the college crowd. Enjoy a different shot special every night of the week, a college rock-laden jukebox, and (especially) on Thursday through Saturday nights, tipsy coeds flirting madly with each other. Like most Sacramento bars, this one also draws an older crowd during the day. But after dark, shots and overpriced appetizers rule the roost. Pool, foosball, video games and a few TVs help the college studs look too cool as they check out chicks. And $1.50 shot specials ranging from kamis to cherry lifesavers loosen lips and inhibitions.



The Food
A valid student ID equals a 10 percent discount. Order breakfast anytime, from a menu that features standards like chorizo and eggs and bacon and eggs. Stop by Wednesday evenings for barbecue from 7pm to 10pm. Local businesspeople, many in suits, show up for sandwiches and a pitcher at lunch or after work.
