First review is bogus... I'll admit that the bar can be dead a couple nights per week but the first review is total BS..

I bought a house on La Riv about 7 months ago and quickly became a regular at this bar. Bryce (the main Bartender) Is totally cool, honest upfront and will crack jokes at stupid patrons or jump the bar to kick out some dumbass without hesitation. JP the owner is kick back and much more of a stoner than a drinker, to say he got rude with a couple of customers for no reason is probably factually ignorant.

Aside from the dead bar scene on occasion I highly recommend it for a place to grab a drink with your girl or get smashed with your buddies..

Worst Bar in Town. This place is a dump.

I have lived on La Riv for 3 years now and have been a patron at "Firedance Bar and Grill" a total of 3 times. (BTW... every time I've been there, I see no fire, no dancing, and smell no grill). Each time sucked. But, a believer in second (or third) chances, I wander in there every year hoping it will be better. Being consistent is good for second chances, but is bad for a bar that is a dump. Here's what happened the other night:

Some guy (I think it was the owner) tried to pick a fight with some girl as her boyfriend paid the bill. They couple seemed nice too, just hanging out with some friends playing pool. Anyway, I saw the whole thing. He waited for the couple to pay the bill, and then starting picking a fight. He then got his hired help to back him up so he would feel tough. Classic duschbag move. Anyway, then he kicked the couple out that was leaving anyway. It was rather pathetic actually, and in this moment, I remembered why I avoided this place. YOU SHOULD TOO.

Take it from me, spend your dignity elsewhere.

Note to bar owner: Every good business person knows you NEVER touch your own product. If only you got this concept, your bar might have a chance to be an chill place. Instead, it remains a dump.
