38.574841 -121.328227Two bad experiences, I'm not going back!. I was at Rascals about a year ago and the service was really bad, we waited almost 30 minutes just for the salad, and the prime rib was overdone and my seafood was cold. We had to send back and that took almost 45 more minutes, we understand everyone has a bad night so we decided to try it again, the coupon from the pennysaver prompted us. Well unfortunately it happen again, it took over 20 minutes to get our salads, my salad was good. My husband had ribs and chicken, the ribs really tasted like they had been frozen forever, and they were chewy. My sauted scallops were tasteless and over cooked, I had to season them myself with butter and salt. No one asked us how our meal was, we were afraid to send them back and risk another long night there. I can not reccommend this place to anyone. For the price we paid it was REALLY disappointing. People in the bar seemed to be having a great time and I saw a few burgers and club sandwiches going by...I guess we should have ordered that! One more thing, we had to wait to pay our bill for almost 20 minutes...not good.
Great Date Spot. There is a cheers feel to the decor and atmosphere. The bar has flat screens and a huge fireplace. I usually take dates or watch a game on one of the plasma TVs. After a drink I'll move down to the diningroom for dinner. The menu is huge, there are several dishes made to order, like anything with Alfredo sauce. You can taste the difference between a Mom & Pop place as opposed to a franchise. I might also add that it has been a big attraction with the ladies, Rascals, not me, I'm still struggling, but I regress. The Burgers are huge and there's 12 different kinds but if you only eat one thing, try the ribs, Great! I will be going back to Rascals Pub & Grill
appetizers, appetizers. Great local bar feel, a good beer selection with some of the typical pub food. Though they have a varied menu. The food is ok, I recommend this as a stop to meet friends and have an appetizer or two.
Killer food. The food is great and the service is complete. Prices are low for the amount of food you get.
Nice place for lunch or dinner.
My office is about two miles from Rascals and I like to go there if I am meeting other people for a business lunch. I go there about once a month. Their menu is broad enough that everyone always finds something they like.
The food is good and well prepared. The service is usually very good. My sodas and water are always topped off. When the weather is good I like to eat outside and enjoy it.
They also have a room we occasionally use for meetings. It holds six to eight people comfortably with a door that closes for privacy.
Lunch and tip usually runs about $12 per person.
no good pub. pub atmosphere with atmospheric prices for below average food. my test of a restaurant is "will i go back or not". they did not past the test. it was not a total loss but it was not a success either.
