Come Visit my restaurant.
Come visit our resort! We have been Sacramento's best kept secret for over 30 years.
Fun for the entire family. Dine inside our air-conditioned dining room or outside on our 2000 sf patio under a canopy of unbrellas.
Arrive by boat or by car. If you don't have a boat... rent one of ours!
Full service marina with private berths, side tie slips, fuel dock and one of the longest guest docks in the area!
Come visit us at the Alamar.
See you on the River!!

Good, fresh seafood (the clam chowder was too heavy though). Fried sampler good for fans of that kind of thing though my girlfriend found it TOO fried.
Really hard to get to, we got lost at the airport. Terrible location, non-existent clientele.
A Great Spot on the River. This is the perfect place for the whole family and the food is outstanding and the service is fast and freindly... They have many boats to rent and even a houseboat. You should go...
Whether by boat or by car, stop in for a bite at this honky-tonk restaurant down by the river..
The Scene
While most Garden Highway eateries overlook the river, Alamar is actually built on a floating dock. The interior is simple: a single room with small tables, a large U-shaped bar and nautical souvenirs decorating the walls. Small green curtains on the windows and pleasant waitstaff give it a nice homey feeling. The best seat in the house is under a large umbrella on the deck, looking out at the water. From the deck, it's also fun to watch people pile into their boats for a day on the river.
The Food
Like the decor, the menu at Alamar is also simple. Brunch includes the basics like eggs Benedict, bacon and toast. The lunch menu consists of staples like burgers and fries, seafood and salad. It's nothing fancy, but neither is a day on the Sacramento River. The dinner menu is a bit pricier and offers a variety of specialty steak and seafood dishes.
Wet n Fun. One of my favorite places. On a cool fall evening with the outdoor heaters going, it's great to sit outside and enjoy their delicious food while watching the river flow by ... I always have had great service and wonderful food. A bit pricey, but worth it. And the drive down the country road to get there is fun too. Dinner here is an event to enjoy.
