In Short – With classes ranging from 24 Hour Tease, a sexy strip aerobic class, to the more subdued Vinyasa flow yoga and butt-kickin' boot camp, this active sports club is packed with health conscious (and some insomniac) gym goers. Stocked with the latest cardio and weight-training equipment, this gym cranks up the pumping music, flicks on the Plasma TV sets, and lets fitness fanatics work out according to their own schedule. With affordable rates and a friendly, knowledgeable staff, personal training is another tangible get-fit option. And while the moniker is somewhat misleading, on…
Less than Standard

I've been a member of this organization for fourteen years and I'm almost ashamed to admit it. I like the fact that there are so many clubs and no matter where I am I can pretty much work out. But that's where the accolates stop. This company seems to pride itself on mediocrity, and it's been that way ever since I've joined. It's business strategy seems to be to attract younger people who don't notice or care about customer service and who are tantalized by the "pick up" energy that prevails at every single one of these clubs I've ever been to. The unkempt and actually dirty bathrooms and shower areas are now legendary with this company, and that includes the often filthy and unattended spas and saunas. Gross! But you gotta hand it to the owners, they have figured out how to keep their niche busness without invesing in what would seem to be at least relative standards of quality, and the way to do that is to cater to young people who don't seem to care or know the difference. To some degree it's our fault that this organization remains successful given its sub par service and poor facilities. Shame on us!
- Pros: inexpensive and available
- Cons: uninformed staff, poorly maintained equipment, unclean facilities

I've been a member for over 6 months now and am seriously looking elsewhere but options are grim. Staff is "OK" on a good day. Phones do not answer when no one's around; NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE for holiday schedules! Showers need thorough cleaning. In jacuzzi or sauna you're subjected to "meat market" mentality. Machines are very tightly spaced. No other options for this type of facility available without paying an arm and a leg for Capital Athletic Club. Suggestion? CREATE ANOTHER HEALTH CLUB IN THIS AREA! Many new work/live condos rising w/people w/out cars to commute.
- Pros: 24 hr. access
- Cons: Holiday hr. info not available; bathrooms need attention; equipment tightly spaced
