Editorial Review for Outback Steakhouse – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Very disappointing. We waited 15 minutes to get waited on. We had to ask someone to find our waitress. Apparently we didn't have one, because many people waited on us all night. We got our meal before the appetizer, and our steak had to be sent back because it wasn't even cooked on this inside (we ordered a medium). Then, when I asked to speak with a manager, this joke came out and told us that "it happens to one or two tables a night, you just happened to be one of them." What a lame excuse! I wanted to talk to the manager's manager! I do not recommend this place to ANYONE, unless you are willing to drink away the stress because the bartender did alright.

Pros: Good drinks

Cons: Dumb manager

I love their kookabura wings and their onion bloom as an appetizer. Their usual garden salads are amazing, with their croutons (i am in love with their croutons..its nicely seasoned). I'm a bread & butter freak, so the rye bread is nice and warm with fresh butter. I love a good ribe eye and sometimes it comes out more overcooked..when I asked for medium-rare, but eh. Good baked potato with the typical fixins. I am usually wayy to full to have dessert, but I always end up oogling at them anyways. I also have tried their salmon and alice's stuffed chicken, which are also tasty.
