I've had the same experience.

This is the only game in town for stress-related Work Comp claims.

The going rate for a psychiatrist in Sacto is $150 per 50 minute session.

Mehtani's is $160 for a FIFTEEN minute session. He effectively bills, including himself and at least three nurse practitioners and his MD wife, a MINIMUM of $800 an hour.

Stay far far away from this place. It is nothing but a scam ring. They are quacks and crooks. Charging for appts. never made. Only went once and during that time, I too, waited a long time to be seen, maybe an hour or more. During this time, I watched as patient after patient was herded back for a less than 10 minute appt. I was about to find out that my appt. was less than 10 as well. During my appt., very few questions were asked. Of those asked, very few were pertinent to my reason for being there. At the end of that time, I was handed a prescription and some samples and sent on my way. Dr. Mehtani was very cold and detached. He didn't even seem to care about what I was saying. I felt, like, how do you know I need this medication, let alone if it's the right one? This can be very dangerous for some people. Now I received a bill for three subsequent appts. I never made. When I reported my experience to my regular therapist, she said she wished she had known who I was going to beforehand and said, "Oh no, oh no, Dr. Mehtani and that whole office is nothing but a moneymaker. I've had several patients who have told me this. They're well known around town to be crooks."

Completely Worth It! (Ignore the First Rating)

This place has many good doctors, and I highly recommend them. I have no idea why the only other review is so completey negative. Then again, this place does treat folks with many different mental disorders; maybe they were in a downward spike when the wrote the response.

Here's to all of us that we can treat ourselves (and our doctors) with respect and courtesy as well all strive to be our best and live our best life.
