Not what I expected. I'd heard great things about Sophia's. I ate there once and my food was fine, but nothing great. Then, the other night I went there and had a bad experience. The place was packed and service was harried. What I ordered was described as "steamed calimari spiced with cilantro and jazmine rice on the side". When it arrived, it was cold calimari with cilantro on a bed of lettuce! Basically, it was a salad. But no one told me it was a salad, nor did the menu hint at this. My brother had lackluster pad thai. If you want thai in davis, go to thai bistro.
