Best Place With Consistant Service – I've been a client at this spa for many years. I really like the fact that they are woman owned and local. Not a franchise. Most of the therapists I've had are great and they don't have much change in people that work there. Even the owner, Cindy works there at the front desk and is always kind and friendly to me. One time I had to tell her I did not get a good massage. The therapist talked too much during the massage and didn't seem to understand my problems that I relayed to her. So I told Cindy and she gave me a complementary massage with another therapist. I must say that was a great example of extrodinary customer service. They have great specials too that they offer me via email. I really enjoy comming to this spa and I want to recommend this place to all of you too!
Owner should not be the Receptionst! – I purchased a 'Queen for a Day" spa package from Living Social back in August 2011. I have tried to schedule this several times but kept getting told there were no available appointments. Each time I have had to deal with Cindy the owner and also receptionist. She is very rude and abrasive. Her tone of voice is very gruff and it has a distinct edge to it. When I told her I had a package deal I bought, which I thought was a Groupon, she told me all of their package deals had expired. She said I could use the value to purchase services there, so we booked a pedi for the next day. She explained to me very tersely what their 24-hr cancel policy was (they charge you if you cancel). When she did so it brought back memories of the previous time I visited the spa and she had the same demeanor. When I got home I saw it was a Living Social deal and it was not expired. I called her the next morning and she was an absolute witch -- very argumentative. Granted I screwed up because it was not a Groupon, but she told me "all" package deals had expired so I assumed she knew what she was talking about. I told her she was very rude and demeaning to people on the phone and suggested she tape record her phone calls so she could actually listen to herself and see what people were talking about. Needless to say I am getting a refund from Living Social for his deal and will never go back there. Sadly, during the previous visit I got a great facial. The estheticians who work there are good but they have an absolute ogre for a boss who is turning away business. Take your business elsewhere.
Cindy responded to me and said I was upset at the 24 hour cancellation policy. Not at all. I had set time aside for the pedi and would have gone to this appt. if it were not for her rude and discourteous treatment. She needs to review the reviews on this site and Yelp -- they tell a pretty good picture of how she treats people.
Charming! – Charming salon with a terrific group of talented stylists. Everyone is super accommodating. It has a great atmosphere and is reasonably priced. They are all outstanding with color and cuts. Book early!!
great neighborhood spa – My husband and I have been going here for years and it really is a great neighborhood place! We love to give friends gift certificates because we know they will love it too. It's calm, consistent, friendly, healing, affordable and the owner and the therapists are there to please! Try it - you'll like it!
This place has it right! – I like to patronize small businesses. When I found a coupon for a massage in a local paper I decided to try this place out. Well really glad I did. The massage I had with Tabitha was great. Her hands were warm and she did not talk during the massage which I really appreciated. The front desk was friendly and made me feel welcome. The place is cute and charming and clean. It is located in a very nice area. They offer great deals and I can't wait to go back.!
Mid town spa, with great recession deals – I have had several good not great massages, 1 decent but not great facial, and my first bikini wax and several more to follow. Last year when the market crashed they had some great deals like 55 minute massages for $40, facials for $40 etc. A lot of those deals seem to have ceased and due to my job change relocation I don't get there any more. If they bring back the specials I will be be back as it would be worth it to drive out of my way.
The place is small,, and clean but in A very nice fab forties neighborhood. It is somewhat true what they say about CIndy the owner, she is pleasant but not sappy sweet, and isn't going to go out of her way to provide world class service.
The Best Time Ever! – My Mom treated me for my 21st birthday. I had never been to a spa before. Wow! I loved it! The people that work there are so nice. My massage therapist her name is Junien, she explained everything to me. Her hands felt so good. I had a facial with Lisa and she gave me some great ideas about my skin. I had a wonderful experience and I hope to go back soon!
Very Happy – After reading some of these reviews I thought I would post a real one. Today I went to Blue Sky and have been there several times before. I must say the services are very consistent. Very Good! I had an excellant facial and a massage. The esthetician advised me about my skin care problems and sent me home with some great samples. Her massage on my face was so soothing to me I fell asleep.
The owner Cindy works the front desk and she is very knowledgable about the business. Very helpful and she has hired great staff.
I just want to tell you if you haven't tried this place you should do so as soon as you can. You will be delighted!
Run! (AWAY) – What a awful experience. I had tried this place last year for a facial and was so disappointed. It started when I could not even find a place to park. Then I met the owner Cyndi - a rude person who seems to think she is a gift to humanity. The tech who did my facial seemed nervous and inexperienced and while she was quiet, she made it an anxious time for me. I was given a gift certificate and decided to try again since a year has passed. It was even worse this time. The owner is the greeter (a term used loosely because she doesn't greet - all she does is talk loudly on the phone and yells to the therapist when she wants to say something). The place is very small and quite uncomfortable in the waiting area. It is not luxurious.,.it's a budget spa more suitable for a Walmart store. I have had lots of facials in my life and I know the difference between a firm and frightened touch. This therapist was too inexperienced to deliver the goods and frankly, all they do there is steam and cream. Big deal. We can do that at home. Don't waste your money. It's amateur hour in that place. Nothing professional about the place or the players. I will never go back.
Loved My Experience – I tried their staycation spa package today. It was great! The therapist for the massage I had was Junien. She was awsome. I also had a facial and body treatment with Lisa. I was very impressed. They also gave me a lunch to enjoy. The best salad I ever ate. Well, maybe it was because i was so relaxed. Anyway, had a great time and I will definately come back.
