Since 1951, this quick-serve restaurant has catered to on-the-go motorists, pioneering drive-thru dining and a broad selection of distinctive fast-food items. The menu emphasizes burgers like the best-selling Jumbo Jack--a thick patty topped with lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mayo-onion sauce--but value items like stuffed jalapenos, bacon-cheddar potato wedges, and "monster" tacos are popular, too. Breakfast and sourdough sandwiches, salads and real ice cream shakes round out the offerings.

Runt of the litter. Working odd hours and driving from Southern Cal to Sacramento, I've been to nearly every burger stand, period. I do like the JITB chain. However, this location is in a word, incompetent. Had to wait 5 minutes just to get them to take my money, with not a customer in the store, or in line in front in drive-through, during a weeknight. Food hastily prepared. This location specifically does poorly on any fried item. Avoid.
