Folsom >Speedee Oil Change & Tune Up
Let me start by saying that I normally
don't write reviews, and am not the type of person to make a stink about customer service; and I surely don't want to waste my time on the computer writing about crappy customer service. I have worked in retail management for many years and know what it's like to experience an unhappy customer. I went to Speedee to get my Jeep smogged and it ended up not passing (I had a coupon for $34.99 smog check ). The tech told me that since it didn't pass he would give me half off my next test (which would make the re-test $17.49)- great service. I brought my other car back for an oil change the other day, great service. Today, my husband and I brought two cars (including the Jeep which needed re-testing) back to Speedee for smogs. The girl rings up my Nissan for $49.99 at which point I ask her why it's that much since it says on a giant balloon thing outside that the price is $39.99. She didn't know. If you're going to advertise a sale, make sure your employees know. No big deal. Then she rings up the Jeep (which I was supposed to get half price- the guy told me- my fault for not getting it in writing). I tell her the tech said he would give me half price (the whole reason I went back there in the first place- without coupons they are expensive). She gets the manager who says that $30 IS half price. Since when is $30 half of $50? Basic arithmetic. I tell them first of all, I'm supposed to be charged HALF PRICE- HALF OF WHAT I PAID LAST TIME. The manager says the guy that told me had no idea of how much I paid since I used a coupon, and that their re-tests are $30. First of all, half of 50 is 25, NOT 30, and second of all I'm not paying 30 since I was told I would pay half.
Long story short, the manager was not accommodating (although he liked to think he was by giving me $5 off of the $30 price, which it should have been to begin with since that's the ACTUAL half price). I didn't want to make to much of a stink, and I know that they don't want to lose money, but they shouldn't be telling paying customers things that aren't true.
Working as a manager myself, I ALWAYS made sure the customer was happy. It's not about the money, it's about the PRINCIPLE. I don't care of it's 5 cents for 500 dollars- you should pay what you are promised.
Speedee lost two paying customers today thanks to sub-par customer service. We will not be going back there and will be spending our money elsewhere.
What a joke. HONOR THE PRICE YOU PROMISE.
Great Service. I have been a customer at this SpeeDee for quite a while now. As a professional mechanic, I simply don't have the time or inclination to change oil on my own car. The folks at this SpeeDee have always taken care of me when I bring my car in for service, and I trust their work and appreciate their attitude.
Good service, in and out and I still have all my hair!. I put a lot of miles on my truck with all the commuting I do. I stopped in at this Speedee service shop for just an oil change. They did as asked but also pointed out that I had an issue with my 4 wheel drive (I already knew that I did). With the snow season right around the corner I need my 4 wheel drive. They did the exact same service the Toyota dealer wanted but half the price and I didn't have to make an appointment!
Good service. I fly planes for a living. These guys were fast, professional and got me on my way in no time. All aspects of the service were explained to me before hand, and all the prices are plain to see. You must authorize everything they do before they can do it! Don’t know what these other people are complaining about. We get them on flights all the time and they just bi*ch about everything! You just can’t please some people. Shop was right on the corner, easy to get to. Came to my car as soon as I pulled up, and as I said the service was fast and everything done was explained to me. They were much cheaper and more convenient than dealer. I’ll be back…..
Very suspicious!. I should have read these reveiws before taking my car there regularly for oil changes! My last oil change at this location was $70.00!! ouch! I have since become suspicious; my car now has a broken dip stick which causes the check engine light to come on and a broken air shock which holds the hood open! Wow. Since they are the only ones who have worked on my car.....
Customer Beware. This place was awful. We took our car in for regular service and came out with a $300.00 bill! Several calls to the manager to discuss that we did not authorize the additional service were incredibly unprofessional. The manager had the audacity to blame it on miscommunication. I explained that this was not our first time taking a vehicle in for service. Long story short we filed a claim with the business bureau. I would recommend NOT taking your vehicle in, unless you want to pay a lot more and be scammed. Stay away!
