the best and authentic thai food

I'm international student from thailand, I come to usa for my master degree at Sac State. I was really want thai food and I went to every thai restaurant in sacramento. I were disappoint until I went to TASTE OF THAI. This restaurant uses the ingredient almost the same in thailand. I had thai fried rice with shrimp. It was very surprise, it had the chiness broccoli. tomatoes. yellow onion and green onion. When I ate, I thought I was order fried rice in thailand. It 's different from every thai restaurant in sacramento, they put pea and carrot, I think that rice can order in chiness restaurant. Another day I order Pad thai, their noodles are fresh,they use the fresh noodles. I can taste it. I would say every another thai restaurant use the dry pack of noodles, they are cheap and can keep it for many many many years. I have a wonderful time eating in TASTE OF THAI. If you have ever go to thailand you would know that this restaurant is the best.

I have a great time, thank you very much TASTE OF THAI, to make me feel like I'm not far from my country.

Good food..poor service

The food served there is delicious and comes very quickly. Busy during lunch times during the week, but overall you can manage to find a table. Depending which server you get...there are actually quite a few of them who are quite rude. They bring you the bill 5 minutes after your food comes and never ask how your food is. Poor service in my opinion, but this could just be their custom if I'm wrong.

• Pros: great food, price and portions are just right
• Cons: POOOOOOOOOR SERVICE :(

Best Thai in Sacramento

I've been to several Thai restaurants in Sac and this is the best overall. Everything I've had is good or great and the service is always excellent. The pad thai at Thai Palace on J is better but that is it. Thai basil is always voted the best in town but Taste of Thai is SO much better.

• Pros: Great, authenic food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg
• Cons: Broadway at night (which really isn't that big of a deal)
