The service was great!. My boyfriend I stopped in one night and what an experience. The service was great, nice a friendly. The food was delicious with a southern hospitality!

JAZZY BLUES CAFE ! New owners.. this place is amazing.
I just went for a fri night dinner. It was incredible. the interior is super modern like a jazz lounge, but with some tables chairs for eating. the staff was super friendly and cool. The food. oh man, the food was the best soul food I've had in sacramento. and trust me I've been to many. I ordered the Southern Chicken plate. it was priced just right.. but the portion was huge! definitely expect to take some back home. It was amazing fried chicken. It was juicy and tender.. and they used spices in the breading... spices...yep..this aint your average.. Also, the candied yams were some of the best ever, and the mac and cheese was better than mom's ---shhh don't tell her.
Oh and the live music on the piano was setting a super chill atmosphere.
I'de defintitely come back. I'm trying their ribs next time.

New ownership. If you're looking for the best BBQ around this is the spot. It has it all. Chicken, brisket, links and dynamite ribs. You won't need any napkins at this joint. The portions are generous. A good family environment. Open for lunch, dinner and take out. Check it out and I guarantee you you won't be disappointed.

Went there for both my wife's and my own birthdays. It's a great place for the family to have a Gourmet dinner at "You-Can-Bring-The-Family" prices.
Even with our 1 1/2 year old daughter we were welcomed.
Great relaxed atmosphere, and a beautyful presentation of the food!

RiverLunchBreak. Ordered the special - Corned Beef and Cabbage $9.95. Lunch came with salad bar or beef vegetable soup. I chose the salad bar - standard fare but fresh. The corned beef came with new potatoes, baby carrots, corned beef and cabbage - a large portion, very tasty! I sat at the bar and ate lunch to save time. Courteous service, nice lunch atmosphere.

Awesome!!.
What a awesome place to eat! They have great lunchs and their dinners are excellent! Fantastic place to go before and after a Rivercats game.
