The Scene
The striking windowed lobby stretches two stories high. In the dining room, outfitted in earthy tones and contemporary design, a narrow front area accommodates large parties. The smell of warm yeast seeps out from the row of vats, where customer brewers mix up their mash.
The Food
Flavors are refreshingly assertive. The intense tastes of the beers, such as a barbecue-smoky Scotch Ale, may not please all palates, but a perfumy Belgian Trippel goes down easy for microbrew newbies. Buttery clams and mussels steamed with an edge of thyme serve as a refined alternative to fried pub appetizers. Brats and Mash burst with sweet, stone-ground mustard tang and the deep, woody taste of caramelized onions. Creole-style Dungeness crab has a black-peppery bite and practically crawls from its plate, it's so fresh. Impressive desserts include colossal brownie sundaes and a lemon tart in a delicate crust.

All I can say is wow - place look pretty good, had potential but failed terribley. Went there happy hour on a Tuesday, had one beer for $6.75 which was ok, it was supposed to be there hoppier IPA but was not hoppy at all. Then had the crab cake panni - this was a mistake. It was small, horrible and might as well been microwaved. Plus I sub a salad whcih then totaled teh meal at over 14 Bucks. Don't go it not worth the effort especially when you go at happy hour and then charge full price. Rubicon is much better and is only a 10 min walk. Sacramento is flat so enjoy the easy walk. or go the other direction try any place else!!!
Pros: None
Cons: food, beer - everthing is overpriced(this not New York)

What happened to this place? I use to come here all the time because of the great food and service. I was here the other night and the food was horrible! None of the same great bartenders were there which was a shame because the new ones couldn't make a drink right for the life of them. How sad.
