Dr. Wei-Schatzel has been my doctor for several years but I'm seriously looking to change. The wait times are horrendous, I'm never seen in less than 1 hour. When I try to get a prescription refilled it's ridiculous. So many times the pharmacy has to fax in the request over and over and the doctor (or doctor's staff) simply doesn't respond. Not a "yes" or "no"...just no response at all. Sometimes the doctor insists that I come into the office before she'll refill my prescription (which is a non addictive drug that I've been taking for 7 years now with no ill effects). I can see her wanting me to come in the office if she wanted to make sure the medication wasn't doing something harmful...but she doesn't do any tests when I'm there! No blood tests, nothing. So what's the point? Just a way to get me to pay for the office visit I guess. So it ends up costing me at least 2 hours of my time plus my co-pay for the office visit.

Not patient-centric AT ALL. Most of these reviews are a joke and likely the employees that work at the office. First off I consider myself a very fair individual and never write negative reviews but have to in this case. The office itself is not very clean. Our first apt here we waited over an hour and then was not even seen by Julie (like we had scheduled) but a Nurse who was very short. Second apt waited another hour alone in the room for the Doc to come in, when she did she spent 5 mins with me and was not very helpful. Third apt was to get lab results, apt lasted 30 seconds and we were still charged a co-pay (couldnt call us?, nope its office policy that you ALWAYS pay) Time to switch PCP's.

Great Doc, poor customer service.... Dr Wei-Schatzel is a great doctor, obviously good at her job, good at listening and providing good opinions, not afraid to be truthful about subjects that are sometimes difficult to discuss.

BUT, and this is one BIG BUT..... There is ALWAYS a HUGE wait time, regardless of the time of day of the appointment, you usually get into an exam room quickly, but then end up waiting to see the doctor forever either before the exam or after, if you are waiting for any kind of paperwork. I have had lost lab results, and poor follow up on issues I thought were pretty important. I have actually left the office on 2 occasions before my appt. was over because it took so long and I had to get back to work. VERY frustrating.
