FARHOSH, stylist in the salon, is unprofessional. bad job!.
If you don't have time to read the whole thing here, here's the quick scoop: NEVER get your hair done in the Ulta Salon by a "master" stylist named "Farhosh". FARHOSH IS HORRIBLE WITH HAIR AND RUDE TO CUSTOMERS! My story is below.
I had an appointment at the Salon for color from one of the "master salonists"(who are SUPPOSED to be better to jusifty their increase in price). Well I got stuck with a lady named "FARHOSH"(a woman in her mid 30's, about 5'6, Persian/Indian but very westernized who is from Germany but has been living here for many years, had short dark hair with blonde streaks). Well, she did my color job and this has got to be THE WORST experience I have EVER had with a stylist. This lady not only made me wait atleast 30 minutes for the appointment to start even though I was on time and she was dinking around with some stuff and just rudely ignored me although she glanced over at me a few times knowing that I was her client waiting(the receptionist went up and told her). Well, when she finally sat me down in her salon chair, the experience was extremely rushed, she actually scratched my head a few times while shampooing it after I said "can you please not be so rough" and she said "Oh, you must have a tender head" and then kept being rough with my head as if nothing had happened! I was really getting irritated but I needed my hair looking good and there weren't any other stylists available. Farhosh, the stylist, then continued to gossip with one of her coworkers by her side rudely while almost ignoring me and acting rough with my head, just shoving me around doing her thing like I'm a doll. She even asked me to blow dry my own hair, she had to go make a call or something. What the hell am I paying for then?!?! I tried to be polite and hoped she get nicer after getting into it, but she was extremely rude, impersonal, the only attempt at being nice she did is flash me a quick fake smile after glaring at me in the mirror while she was applying the product in my hair. I also asked her a question about this particular color treatment and she very rudely responded and sounded like she was too proud to admit she didn't actually know the answer to my question but acted very conceited. Farhosh should not be dealing with people, she seems like a real angry, rude person who hates what she is doing and makes catty mean comments towards women and about other ulta workers while she was there. AND the end result: My hair did NOT turn out evenly colored! She had to fix it and acted very put out by it, as if it were somehow my fault. She even didn't apply that stuff at the beginning to protect the skin around your hairline from being dyed, and briskly said it would come off easily. I was scrubbing until my skin was red around my hairline trying to get that dye off for awhile before it finally went. I expressed politely but firmly that I thought she didn't do what I wanted exactly, because her services from her as a "master" are more expensive. She was rude and trying to blame me, but eventually gave me a TINY discount. NEVER AGAIN! Farhosh needs to grow up and stop being a stereotypical bitchy hair dresser who acts like a high school girl with an attitude problem despite that she is a grown woman!
Great salon experience!!!!. i love going to this store because it has GREAT makeup lines, GREAT perfumes, and a Salon in the back on the store!!! Pretty much anything you need, you can rely on ULTA to find it. I always get friendly service by the employees, and recently i visited the salon and had highlights and haircut by one of the stylist, Erin. Not only will i be returning to her for getting my color and cut PERFECT, but she is absolutely ADORABLE! So sweet and professional. The other stylists there seemed very nice and down to earth as well. I recommend the salon! Kudos ULTA!
