Nothing to get excited about. The place itself isn't anything special, nor are the drinks or club environment. Nothing negative, but just nothing worth going for either. I would suggest trying somewhere else first.

Horrible Security and Management. This is the most unprofessional club I have ever been to. I was enjoying the opening acts to a show last night, and decided I wanted to smoke a cigarette before the headliner. I walk toward the front and see a sign at the door that says "NO INS OR OUTS", I ask the bouncer were the patio is and he points me in the right direction. I NEVER left the venue. As I start my return back through the front foyer the ticket bouncer say "no ins or outs" you are outta here buddy". I tried to explain to him that I never left, I turned around once I saw the sign but he forcefully pushed me out of the club. So now I'm outside, with all of these people who are super angry about being tossed out and there is no way management is going to listen to my situation. I at this point I cut my losses and will never return to the Empire.

The Empire Strikes Back. To celebrate Christmas we decided to enjoy a show at The EMpire after having a wonderful dinner down the street. Our entire staff and spouses were out to enjoy a great evening...Security at the empire made sure that didn't happen. After ten minutes, our first altercation. One of my staff was dancing through the crowd, not maliciously or violently, just happy to be alive and at a show and he was immediately thrown into a headlock and removed form the venue. I came down from the upstairs bar to find him missing and went outside to retrieve him. I was told we were not allowed back in, to put it nicely. After a long verbal assault from security I decided to rest next door and allow my staff to continue enjoying the show, the security then told the bar staff next door not to serve us and I was"removed" by a security guy that thinks he's a cage fighter. I understand there are lots of bad things that happen at shows, I understand that lots of folks get out of hand and later say they were wronged. I can tell you as a business owner and as a live music lover, this kind of "security" is a trajic example of people who shouldn't have authority abusing a badge. I attended a flogging molly show earlier that month and had a wonderful time so I don't know if the staff was different or what but after this experience I can no longer recommend anyone to go to the emipre for fear that they may be treated similarly. It was really bad.

Empire Events Center. --NOT A CONCERT FRIENDLY ENVIROMENT

ANY BAND THAT IS THINKING ABOUT PLAYING THERE? DON?T!!!

THINK ABOUT YOUR FANS, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR ?ALTERNATIVE, PROGRESSIVE, ROCK, PUNK, REGGAE , BLUES , FUNK OR JAZZ BANDS? TO PLAY.

WITH THEIR SECURITY PEOPLE, THE ONLY SHOWS THAT SHOULD GO ON THERE ARE RELIGEOUS OR CHILDREN SHOWS.

JUST MY OPINION

The beautifully hip strut their stuff at this expansive downtown nightclub.. In Short
A former warehouse, this nightspot features high ceilings, concrete floors and steel accent, creating an urban-industrial feel. Those clad in designer fashions congregate at the four bars and in two private lounges to sip cocktails. On most nights, DJs spin rock and hip-hop to flashing state-of-the-art lighting and video. The club also hosts concerts, featuring top-name performers like Psychedelic Furs and Bowling for Soup, and other special events, such as lingerie contests and hypnotist shows.
