Good overall experience!. Met with a sales consultant there at the Roseville location. She was very nice and knowledgeable. She was extremely honest about what was going to and not going to work for me, so I'm grateful for not wasting any money. Started my first treatment the other day, and so far so good. I started the hair removal for my bikini and vela shape for my tummy. The nurses there were very sweet and professional, made me feel very comfortable during my session. Other than the pain, I am looking forward to going back for more!
Love the VelaShape and facial rejuvenation services. After 8 treatments I have lost 5 inches!!! It took the first 4 treatments to start to melt the fat of my really apple shaped belly. But after that...I lost 5 inches. And the buy one get on free really helped so I could get the next set of 4 sessions. I do try to watch what I eat but didn't exercise during these sessions. It would really be even more beneficial. I also had the facial rejuvenation with the laser and skin tightening. I love the results. Absolutely no complaints with this location and am 100% satisfied. The people are really terrific. I schedule all of my appointments up front so I have no problems with getting them. Especially with summer coming the place is very busy.
The most unprofessional clinic. The most unprofessional clinic. I use them when they were called Advance Laser Center in Sacramento, CA. The receptionist didn't give me ice for my arm because she didn't want to lose the reusable ice pack. When they changed their name to American Laser center, they and opened a branch in Roseville, CA. They did not honor my contract and lost my initial contract and warranty and force me to sign papers to agree that I was done even though I had one year treatment left. Each time , a different nurse would treat me , and what they promise , they didn’t write it , and the next time the new nurse would not follow what the previous one did and say she wasn’t suppose to do it that far and she is no longer with us. I was treated with different machines and one would say that my skin color requires one kind of laser machine and the next time, they will treat me with other machine because a new customer is using the other one. I did get big burn that left a scar on my elbow, from one of the nurses and she was not there two month after that. I suggest who ever using them or wants to use them, don’t lose your initial contracts and get all the promises in writing and draw pictures to make it clear how far your treatment should be and keep copies of everything because they will come in handy.
Worst place in customer service specially in walnut creek area.
The run around you get is just awful given we live in service economy. No calls are returned and cancellation is equivalent to getting a tooth canal done.
California consumer laws are not even cared for. Avoid it if you could. If already trapped and hopefully you used credit card, put the amount in dispute.

They use hard sales pressure during consultations and don't go into detail about their very strict absolute no-refund policy if you change your mind for any reason, including things they list in their own contract as contraindications. In the paperwork, it sounds as if they will charge you a fee for cancelling. If you do go in, read everything carefully even if the salesperson is talking as you read (maybe an intentional distraction?) Be aware that the cancellation fee is the entire price of the services you sign up for!
One manager told me that the no-refund policy was the company's way of handling buyer's remorse which is a big problem for this company. After working with them for a short while, I can see why they have so many people suffering from buyer's remorse!
When I called to cancel my contract before any work was ever performed, I was told a manager would call me back. They didn't call me back until the day before the appointment I had cancelled, when they called me to confirm that I would be at the appointment. I asked to speak to the manager (who was supposed to call me regarding the cancellation. She told me she was sorry she hadn't called me back but that she couldn't because they had the wrong telephone number on file for me. I found this very strange (and a blatant lie) since the only reason I was on the phone with her was because her office had just called me! I am definitely getting a run-around and regret ever stepping into their office!
I have not received any treatment, have discussed my situation with three managers, and I still have not received a refund. After reading reviews on citysearch about this chain in other cities, I can tell that it is a problem company-wide. I wish I had read those first! Make sure you really do your research (a simple google search turns up hundreds of complaints) before even thinking about a consultation with this company!
