Capital Landscape is a completely
unprofessional organization. I am currently living next door to a project they are working on. When they first arrived they asked if they could dig a hole thru our yard to lay a gas line, that was running to a bbq in the neighbors yard, we told them we were not comfortable with this. Later that evening when we returned home, they had dug the hole anyway. When I called the owner he said, and I quote "it must have been a communication problem" really? I thought NO was pretty clear communication.
Since that day things have only gotten worse, just the other day we came home and noticed that the cement they poured in the neighbors yard had run down into our yard, and now we have a big hard mess, and of course no one is willing to except responsibility.
Today when we got home from work, I was walking down the side of the house and noticed that they had put a new gate up at the house, in the process of making room for this gate they decided they needed to remove part of my fence, to make room. So I came home to my fence being removed in certain locations, to accommodate there new gate.
When I called and spoke to the owner Mark, he said and again I quote "We didn't do that, call my attorney" funny I have plenty of photos that show your gate and my fence gone.
If you want unethical, rude, and unprofessional definitely call Capital Landscape. I am sure they would love to destroy your neighbors yard.
Excellent Service, Great Results.
In 2010 we decided to remodel our 1930s vintage home in east Sac. In the process of the 8 month remodel the landscaping was pretty much destroyed.
Now, I usually do my own work but this time I decided to bring in some experts, having torn up the backyard and re-done everything 3 times in our 20 years here and never being satisfied.
I knew of Capital Landscape from the home and garden show at Cal Expo. I called CL and soon met Michael, the landscape architect. I felt like he understood everything I was telling him, sometimes before I even told him. I think he must have been picking up a lot of cues from the look of our newly remodeled home. In a week or two we met and went over his design. I asked for a couple of minor changes and he made them within a few days.
After looking over the plans I decided to give them a call and get a bid. Mark, the owner came out, gave the sales pitch and added a couple of ideas of his own to the plan. He's very knowlegeable, has a lot of ideas, knows how to get it financed with no interest loans, and is a pretty good salesman. We closed the deal and scheduled the work.
Mark's crew showed up on time ready to work. Every day his the superintendent, Brian, came by or called me to discuss the progress. They completed the work on time with no change orders in about three weeks. We got stamped concrete walks, a drainage system, irrigation, lighting, plants, sod, the works installed. It looks absolutely beautiful.
Unfortunately, after about three weeks the grass was completely dead. I mean, brown and crunchy dead. Army worms! I called Mark. We went round and round for a while. Capital wanted to make the sod company pay. The sod company said no. Finally, Mark decided to replace the sod. It's been 9 or 10 months and the new sod looks great. That's good customer service. They could have claimed the army worms were here before the sod was delivered but they didn't. Replacing the sod was a small cost to them compared to the cost of the total job. It was a great decision and the right thing to do.
DREAM backyard is now complete, thanks to Mark and team. Well my landscaping experience all started at the CA Home and Garden show in Jan. My wife and I where looking for a landscaping company who was qualified, cost consciences, and local. We bought our house in Nov of last year, and boy did it need work. Bank owned isn't always a plus when it comes to the front and back yards. We met with other contractors from the home show, who's bids were all comparable in price, but lacked that certain something. TRUST!!!!!!! When Mark came to our house he wasn't telling us what we should be doing, but was asking us what we would like to have and taking our budget into consideration. He offered us an excellent price on a full scale design with a credit back if we go into the construction phase. He has 2 full time Landscape Architect , who would be willing to meet with me and get my yard back on track. Michael, who is a genius when it came to ideas, designed a beautiful backyard with seating areas, play areas for my boy when he gets older, and TONS of colorful plants for my wife to love. We were sold after the design review, and called Mark that day for a bid. When Mark came out we had a price in mind, and he met all our financial expectations. I must say, he is one heck of a generous guy. One of the best things was is that it didn't cost us a red cent. They have a no payment no interest for one year finance program that we got approved for. How can you beat that!!!!! When we rolled into construction, I must say my wife and I were nervous. We have had contractors in the past, and things really did't go to smoothly. Bryan, who is the Quality Control Manager, assured us that we where in good hands, and would keep us informed on every little step of our yard. I must say, he called every single day, and stopped by to answer any questions we had. The final project came out BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! What can I say, they have financing, an owner that also sells the jobs and gives us a sense of security, a full time Architect , and great crews and communication. One more thing, Mark, Bryan, Michael, and all the crew are welcome to come by on June 6th for our backyard bbq on the new island. Hope to see you guys there. Thanks Ken
Landscaping Roseville CA Should Not Be an Ordeal. Unfortunately, for me, it was until I hired these guys. Finally, a crew that gets there first thing in the morngin before I go to work. They are all presentable and I can trust them at my home. I never have to worry about landscaping with these guys. They keep things tidy and don't charge extravagant prices. Go with this Roseville landscaping co. if you are looking for dependable.
The Place to Call for Landscaping Roseville Ca. I've hired a lot of landscapers over the years. Every spring they come in and I see the same lawns, same flowers, and same ground coverings as the rest of my neighborhood. I had just about given it over to the weeds until I met this great landscaping Roseville company. So I call them on a whim after searching online for local Roseville landscaping. I call them up and they ask the right questions, do I want something traditional, contemporary, sustainable. So, they come in with a full crew and it's started in the early morning and finished by noon. I now have a natural lawn, or zero-scaping as he called it with herbs for groundcovering and low maintenance lawn care, yet a new look that no one else in the neighborhood has. Thanks!
We loved Mark's recommendations, Michael was insightful and easy to work with on the design. Bryan and the crew were timely and efficient.
Love the New Landscaping.
The new look of the backyard is incredible - I only wish I came to Capital Landscape sooner.
The new patio area is great, the project went well and the crew stayed true to their estimate.
Love the compliments on my landscaping.. I hired Capital Landscape to make some basic landscape changes to both my front and back yard (new sod and shrubbery). Everyone was very nice, from the man who came out to give the estimate, to others who worked at my home. They stuck to the quote I was given and the difference in my lawn is like night and day. I am impressed with the end result and feel they did quality work on both the front and back. I have also contracted with them to do some work on my parents’ home. Everything there is going great as well. Both quotes were very reasonable. So nice to find a company that does not take advantage, and I love the positive comments from my neighbors.
Excellent work by professionals who take pride in their work. Capital Landscape recently finished our renovation and we can’t wait to entertain and show off their great work! We needed a grown-up update to our back yard that was geared more towards adult entertaining. We opted for a fire pit and a wonderful stone retaining wall as part of our renovations. During our consultation it was brought to our attention how a lighting system would allow us to get more use out of our space so we added that to the agenda. Everything was completed to our extreme satisfaction and I cannot say thank you enough for suggesting the lighting package. I would have loved the renovations I had in mind, but the lighting package turns my outside room into something magical after dark. . One of the best updates to our home yet and cost was below our estimation. I will be using them again when we are ready to make changes to the front yard.
below expectation. I hired Capital Landscape summer of 2011 (mark Chester) the owner came out and gave me the bid and yes there were weeds everywhere, the reason I was hiring a landscaper, I agreed to the bid and as there were doing the work I noticed that the were just putting soil over my mow strips, the worker called his foreman and he said we would lay mow strips latter (not written in the contract, but I said ok go ahead, when the time came he didn't want to put in mow strips over the old ones and wanted to give me a refund of 200.00 so I called around and got an estimate for mow strips which was 3.00 a foot, the area which he covered my original mow strips was like 200 plus feet. when i called him and told him that, he was not willing to do anything else so I took the 200.00 and since he build up the dirt in stead of leveling the dirt of from the beginning my side yards are not at the same level as the landscaped lawn. buyer beware, I spent 5 thousand dollars, a lot of money for me and got a below expected landscape job. I have never had any landscaping done before but thought they would have left the mow strip and put the lawn in between them even if they had not noticed them when he came out for the bid. looked to me like he has no pride in the final out come of my landscaping project.
