Logan's Lackluster Roadhouse. We decided on a whim to try our Logan's Roadhouse on Sunrise in Citrus Heights. I'll admit, this was perhaps the biggest dining mistake we've made in the past year. This place is garbage. The food, the service, the price - all bad.

The Suburban Version of Red Neck Cuisine.
Don't get me wrong- I like the r*dneck lifestyle! We had dinner there for the first time Saturday night and we ordered the deluxe burgers. I have to say that they were the best burgers we've had in a long time. Really flavorful and delicious. The fries were a dollar extra, but I can't imagine burgers without fries so we ordered them. I think next time I'll take the chips that come with the burger normally. We also split the appetizer sampler. This was pretty standard- fried mozzarella, potato skins, tiny ribs and hot wings. The ribs were super good and the hot wings too, but they needed a warning label! Really spicy! Also, they gave us these dinner rolls on the side that were so amazing! Soft and yummy and dripping butter. I don't know why we needed a side of carbs with our burgers and fries, but I have to admit that they were really, really tasty.
The service was good. Nothing particularly outstanding, good or bad. Except for the bus staff. I was really impressed watching them change out the tables. They were super quick and thorough. (I have a thing about this. I hate sitting near messy, unattended tables.)
The overall ambience was a little (okay, a lot) cheesy. I like country music, I like h*nky t*nks, but this is super sanitized and just....weird. One fun thing, you get lots of yummy roasted peanuts and you get to throw the shells on the floor! Something my kids would love! My only complaint about the restaurant is that I wish they would tone down the "theme" a bit.
