I was assaulted in an attempted robbery at this hotel. I was assaulted in an attempted robbery at this hotel in May 2011. There is zero security, not even video cameras, in the parking or entrances to hotel. On entering hotel from parking lot to hotel around 10:30 on a Saturday night, two men in their 20's ran up behind me from darkness, one held a knife to me while other repeatedly hit me in the face, demanding my wallet. I escaped with multiple injuries but fortunately was not stabbed. Sheriff was quite annoyed that Fairfield Inn does not have any video cameras at entrances where guests have to put their card key into the entrance door to enter from parking lots. This is an ideal hotel for thugs and robbers to hang out in the parking lot waiting for one person entering and then rob and assault; criminals can take comfort in knowing the hotel will not videotape them, thus making it very easy for them to get away with crimes against hotel guests. The hotel does have video cams inside hotel hallways but nothing which shows robberies and assaults at the entrances, and no signs alerting bad guys they will be videotaped. Be very careful if you stay here, especially if you bring family. Since hotel is in the middle of nowhere, it took police and paramedics a long time to get there.
