Good Asian Restaurant. The ambiance is really nice. We started out with soft shell crab. I've tried this at other places and it can be a bit tricky. They did a nice job, the shell was crunchy and flavorful. Our main dishes were the Dragonfly Sushi and the chicken noodle. The sushi was good, we really enjoyed it. I didn't like the chicken noodle because it was soggy. Overall I thought it was good. I'll be back for the appetizers and sushi.
try their plates, not their sushi. I did like this place, the place was nice and the food was pretty good. I recommend the plates, but the sushi was very average. I went there about a month ago and tried a few of their dishes and they were really good but less than impressed with the sushi rolls there. Overall, it was a pretty good place for asian fusion food. I would go back there again.
On Our List for Great Asian Fusion.
My wife and I had a great dinner last Friday night at the Dragonfly restaurant. We arrived shortly before 7pm to find the restaurant only half full and were seated immediately. The ambience is very pleasant with high ceilings and an up scale asian decor.
Our Chicken Dumpling appetizer was a subtle mix of flavors that went well with the mild dipping sauce. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Dragonfly roll, which she said was excellent. The Thai Chicken with spinach noodles that I ordered was a great surprise because they reminded me of an old favorite noodle shop in Davis, Fusions Asian Bistro. My noodle dish was very tasty, a good portion and I even took a little home to leave room for dessert. Our dessert was a decadent flourless chocolate cake, topped with whipped cream and served on a plate drizzled with raspberry and chocolate sauces. We cleaned that plate.
Our server was cheery and despite the slow drink refills, we were pleased with the service.
The pricing is comparable to similar restaurants.
For those looking for parking, there is a $2 flat rate (evening rate) public garage on 17th, just north of Capitol Ave, that is only a short walk from the restaurant.
Overall, we were both very pleased with our experience and will be going back soon. We are looking forward to trying out their Sunday Happy Hour where many of the rolls are half price, and their weekend breakfast menu.

Most unique sushi you'll find anywhere. I love Dragonfly! They have a great sushi menu, with creative options like the "Terminator Roll." The sushi is not necessarily authentic (I am Japanese, and I had never heard of many of their combinations before), but it tastes delicious anyway. The ambiance of the place is great. I also had one of their noodle dishes one time that was delicious. It's not overpriced and I have never seen it overly crowded.
