Tips for Tapioca Express

Tap Express ROCKS!. Obviously the first reviewer doesn't know the first thing about tapioca drinks or good food. Be prepared to wait a little on the weekends as the place is usually packed for authentic and scrumptious Shanghai dim sum. The drinks are refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. Try the pickled cucumber, its so good!

I usually just have the chai milk tea but you can't go wrong with anything on the drink menu.

Seriously Ovverated.. I have always heard about Tap X and wanted to try it out for the first time today (04/26/07). I ordered the strawberry bubble and the strawberry mango slush with the fried calamari, crispy spicy chicken, and fish ballz. 20 dollar order all in all.

Honestly folks, all the hype did not live up to what I was expecting. Tap X is seriously overrated. The calamari was bland, the chicken meh, and fishballs were to be desired. The "spicy" seasoning that they put on their was kinda good but later as it settle through it left my lady and I wanted to t hrow up. I would not return ever again. Seriously overrated. The drinks were a little too sweet for us.

Best atmosphere! Great variety.. It's a really nice looking place once you get inside. Interesting murals and interior decor. Open and friendly atmosphere if you want to hang out for a while and watch the big screen or if you just want to pick up something quick to go. A huge variety of drinks to choose from and a food menu (Shanghinese & Taiwanese) that is surprisingly good and affordable. Try the Tapioca milk tea which has soft tapioca "boba" to chew on. I was told the most popular food item is the spicy beef noodle soup. They have a very interesting menu item that is different from the ordinary "Chinese food" menu. Just remember to bring cash since they don't accept credit cards. You'll probably want to go back a few times just to try a variety of drinks.
