Very sad :(.
was there few nites ago, unfortunally wasnt a nice experience. we arrived and told us the wait was 25 min " ok no problem" we got our drinks and we made our order.... the problem was there: after 30 min our order still not showing, our server was very nice but i think we was feeling bad for us too. Some asian guy from management apologize to the table next to us cuz of the wait... 45 into and with a 9th month old baby i got pissed and walked out.... how sad! i was so hungry but after waiting for so long i got full from looking lol
BTW the tables in the corner are REALLY DIRTY. you can leaf the dirt with your nail from the top corners from the table (not kidding) i checked all tables around and the look the same. The employees were really nice but the place :( not....

Tainted by creepy guy.
The food and service are good but one of their waiters is an evil sociopath. Alphonse. Alphonse is a user and has psycho sexual problems and likes inflicting pain. This is not second hand information. I've personally seen him feed really hot stuff to a small dog and other crap. Also, he talks crap about his fellow employees, customers and his boss.

Faux trendy spot specializes in unusual and unappealing sushi concoctions.
Sacramento has some very good sushi restaurants. Taro's, unfortunately, is not one of them. The combos and rolls are unusual "experiments" that bespeak the owner's quirky nature, but make you pay a pretty penny to play "guinea pig." While Taro's lures mall shoppers with the promise of a fun and innovative dining experience, it delivers on neither. The fun of Mikuni's on 16th street in downtown Sacramento is nowhere to be found. The place is half-lounge, half-sports bar, with a cold and dark atmosphere. If you're in the mall and looking for something a decent meal, try another venue. Or, if you're looking for an enjoyable, unpretentious dining experience and really outstanding sushi, drive over to Mana instead. You'll be happy you did.
