Best Kept Secret in Roseville.
This place has not been reviewed in a long time here - what a great place! Not sure about earlier reviews, but they are now a full service restaurant, with seperate lunch and dinner menus.
Bread and oil at tables to start is amazing - the best I have ever had.
Had the fettuccine pasta with Myzithra cheese and brown butter sauce and the gluten free Mac and Cheese for our meals - both coming with fresh salads. Amazing flavor on both. The mac and cheese is a must try for sure.
Staff was friendly and helpful, and we were suprised that it was not packed out with people - finding a great place with no wait is a treasure for sure. Looking forward to our next adventure.
A must try.

Excellent Meal at a Reasonable Price.
I am a regular at the restaurant and have never been disappointed in a meal. This is the best deal in town for fine italian food and has great consistentcy for each dish prepared.

Oversold, Underdelivered.
Being Italian I especially like good food. A radio station recommended this place. It was not good from beginning to end. The only bright spot was the friendly people. The menus for a restaurent were sub-par, paper menus. You also pay before you eat your meal which makes no sense at all, yes before your dessert, before you see how the service is, you pay??? Granted, maybe they just had an off night but I will NOT be going back....The salad had way too much dressing,,,I ordered Meatloaf, it was drenched in sauce and I could hardly taste the meatloaf. My wife ordered Beef tenderloin, it came out looking like soup, again drenched. This may have been because the tenderloin was burned. The bread, which was supposed to be renown, was very doughy. The garlic mashed potatoes had garlic peel in them and were lumpy. Any good cook knows to put them through a ricer to take the lumps out, etc... We only took one bite of the tiramusu, which was free, because it was disappointing as well. No espresso, where are the ladyfingers, the flavor? I am sorry to write this but when you spend hard earned money you expect a good meal. I kept waiting for something to be the silver lining only to be diappointed. Oh, by the way to add insult, at 9:05, five minutes after closing time, the busboy comes to our table while my wife and I are drinking our wine, and takes the candlelight, yes nothing else, just the candlelight. This restaurant needs to get it together.Sorry but no Bravo, Pastaria.
