The room was clean and cute, nothing special about the room. Parking is easy, and they were flexible with us the next day to leave our car in the parking lot while we walked the downtown area. Breakfast was great and there were a lot of varities to pick from. Lots of places say they have breakfast, but this one had eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, ect. The coolest thing about this place is take the elevator to the 7th floor and it is the tallest spot in Tahoe City, it was built for the Olympics!! This place has easy access to everything and super friendly staff. Safe bet if you are in the Tahoe area.
Only wish we could have staid longer. You definetly will want to stay on the upper levels for the views. We were on the 5th floor and it was great. Nice view of the lake across the street. The room was a bit small but was clean and the bed was comfortable. You can spend the day walking and visiting the many shops from the hotel and many great places to eat within walking distance. It was a nice drive around the lake itself and only 8 miles from the nevada border. Would like to come back for a longer stay. The weather was super coming from humid and hot florida. for sept. the high was 70 and low 40 s but didnt feel that cold at all.Very nice
Older property but very nicely kept up. Beautiful view of lake across the street and for this reason I reccomend getting an upper floor room. There is an elevator. Nice selection of breakfast items. Rooms clean and well maintained and fairly quiet. Plenty of things within walking distance.
Best customer service ever...I read previous review and must say that my partner and I did not find any rude employees. The rooms we perfect for the price and the view from the top is superb.
Great, convenient location, couzy place to lay ur head down after a long day of snowboarding. Pool/spa was heated and very enjoyable and is very close to lake tahoe for you summer vactioners.
Tower rooms have view of lake! Will stay there again if I am lucky enough to get back there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Pepper Tree Inn. When we booked the room on the Internet, we chose one of the least expensive options, so while the room was a little small, we consciously selected value over luxury. I appreciated this option! With that said, it was a comfortable room, beautifully decorated in a "lake cabin" motif, with amenities such as an in-room coffee pot with a coffee bean grinder, and a microwave and fridge that came in handy. The staff was super nice and helpful. The young lady who checked us in and worked the front desk during the evenings we were there was great -- I wish I had asked for her name! One thing I didn't think about, having never visited Tahoe before, is that air conditioning is not needed most of the year. Hence, our room did not have an A/C unit. When we realized that, we wanted to open windows to get some air moving before we went to bed. The front window was locked (a good thing), and getting it open was a little tricky. I went to the front desk to ask for help. The young lady did not know how to unlock the window, but she made a quick phone call to a co-worker, Aaron, who was not even on duty that night, and he gladly talked me through the process over the phone. Awesome!
We stayed on the 6th floor room in this hotel. The view of lake Tahoe was breathtaking. We greatly enjoyed the hot waffles and the variety and spread of the breakfast. Parking was available close to the elevator. The superior double room we stayed in was a little small for 1 queen bed and 1 double bed, so if you expect space around you may find the room cramped. The hotel is centrally located to many nearby activities. Overall our stay was comfortable at this hotel.
The hotel is above average. Very good customer service. Manager is very curteous and professional. Very honest people... Breakfast is plentiful.
We picked up some delicious sandwiches at the Fat Cat Cafe and kept them in the fridge in the overnight for a picnic lunch the next day. If you're up before breakfast (served at 7a.m.), The Bagelry is right across the street and has delicious coffee and a cozy, local atmosphere. The early-morning views from the lake here are breathtaking!
