I Wasn;t paid what they claimed to pay. I've been to this place a few times , sold them some scrap gold jewelry and thought it was a pretty descent business ,,,, I never really checked thier math , just took thier word for it so I'm not sure if I was treated fairly in the past , I can't be positive if I was or wasn't ,..

But the last time I went there ( fri dec 2nd 2011 )

I did my own math ahead of time . checked prices , etc.

I sold them 17.4 grams of 14k gold which they claimed to be paying 77% of melt value for ( a fair price and common practice ) my math I did ahead of time came to about $440.00 I should have been paid ...the guy working there told me that $385.00 was 77% of the going rate for that day , I mentioned what I came up with , he claimed he was right , he used a caqlculator , I wasn't going to make a big deal over it and gave him the benefit of the doubt and accepted his offer , thinking maybe I was off a little om my figures , after getting home I re checked my math and came up with the same thing ,......heres what I figured ,... gold at $1743.94 per ounce is $56.07 per gram for 24k ..( .$1743.94 divided by 31.103 a troy ounce is $56.07 )

14k is .585 % of 24k therefore .585% of $56.07 is $32.80 per gram for 14k ,,,,,then 77% of that ( what I was told they pay ) is $25.25 per gram .... 17.4 grams at that price should be $439.35 ( what i thought i should get , he claimed it came to $385.00 , I accepted it then figured it out later that this was about 67% of melt value , 10% less than I was told I was getting paid , a $50.00 difference , its not the money so much that I dont appreciate as being lied to or treated like i'm some kind of idiot that doesn't know the difference ,

I will just take my business elsewhere and hopefully this will let others know that if you do go there or anywhere else do your math , check prices , dont be a sucker because theres alot of people looking to take advantage of people that arent aware of exactly what kind of deal they are getting .
