Toby and his owner. Laguna Groomer does a great job with my long hair litte dogs. The Lady that groomed the matted dog and didn't get paid was nicer than I would have been. The woman would have the police knocking on her door. There is something wrong with the person who let their dog get so matted that it takes a groomer hours to cut. Yes!!!! abused........it hurts a dog with all those matts.............These people have been taking care of my long hair dogs for years....and I think they do a great job. Toby needs to be taken away and given to someone that will keep him from getting so da*m matted............The person that stated that they mean well is full of it. There is some noice at times because it is a place for dogs ....give me a figgin break...Cathy and her workers do a great job.... Paula…

Well priced basic service.
First let me say, I think the people who work at this groomer mean well. They are very reasonably priced and did a decent job of grooming my dog and groomed him well under the time they originally
quoted, which was great. However, the facility is very noisy and not a "calm" environment for a pet. When I picked up my dog, there was so much chaos, people yelling on the phone, the girl cashing me out walked my dog to the reception area and just let him loose without allowing me to secure him first, she seemed confused as to know the register process, etc. The dryer they use sounds like a jet engine. I could see where some dogs wouldn't be bothered but all of my dogs would be highly nervous and frightened of that dryer. As I was leaving, the girl at the counter yelled "He didn't like the dryer!" and I just had to chuckle to myself because I didn't like it either lol. In all fairness, I would recommend this facility to a budget-conscious pet owner with a sturdy/unflappable dog. In the future, I am willing to pay more for a quieter, organized and thoughtful environment. I read the "bad" reviews listed here and decided to make my own judgment. As always, the truth is somewhere in the middle and some people will complain about anything. I just wanted to share an objective view of my experience to aid pet owners in their decision.
They are right next door to another groomer, so make sure you pull into the driveway with the big white mailbox.…
Can not. I can not take my pets here it is very dirty...it is hard to get to since they have been working on the road..
Caring Professionals.
this is my first time on this site and I was appalled at the bad review..I have been going to LCG for 10 years and there has been nothing but TLC given to my rare breed dog. I do rescue of this
breed, coton de tulear, and a number of my rescues have been there as well...Cathy and her crew have always made this a positive occasion for these little guys - sometimes their first.
My coton wags her tail when we enter the door and always comes out on time and looking beautiful! I would recommend them highly.…
One HAPPY and SATISFIED Customer.
I wanted to be sure to write a positive review for the folks at Laguna Country Groomers.
I read the horrible review given...and in 5 years.... I have NEVER had that kind of experience, and I am writing of first hand experiences. I noticed the person that wrote the 'review' was writing for someone else...therefore making it hearsay....which is gossip!
Sure, tempers perhaps got flared....things may have been said that were not professional or appropriate (after all- just because someone may be acting rude and irrational- doesn't mean we have to sink to their level), however, after having them perform miracles on my Llasso/Terrier Mix...I know how hard it is ...and how LONG it takes to do good work.
- Sounds like someone either had a bad day, did not have realistic expectations....is just an unhappy person- regardless of what happens....or...really just did not want/intend to pay.
At any rate- while I feel it is important for us to have good AND bad reviews - I feel it should be written after there has been time to 'cool off' if upset and compose a true review- and not a complaining session- with the effect of purposely trying to tarnishing the reputation of hard working individuals!
The written word cannot be taken back....and we should all realize there are ALWAYS two sides to every story.
Again- my highest praises to them- they always make my dogs...(and even my cat!) look and smell terriffic - and, while they are not an 'in and out' place- they have always done their best to accomodate my schedule.
After all- if you are in that big of a hurry- perhaps you should do the dog yourself.…
TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY. PLEASE READ THERE ARE 2 SIDES TO EVERY STORY!! Sarah and toby( her 8 mos. old 4 lb, yorkie) made an appt. for 11 am. She asked for toby to have a bath. After feeling toby's coat I informed her he was matted to the skin and she HAD only 2 choices. 1). strip him to the skin, the clipper has to go under the matts OR 2). give me TIME and I would slowly and painlesly cut, thin, and dematt. I told her I had to do it in stages putting him up to rest so I could take care of other customers dogs. Sarah said " Please don't strip toby please leave him some hair." We said we could leave him approx. 1/2 inch of hair. SARAH NEVER SAID SHE HAD PLANS OR GAVE ME TIME FRAME FOR MY WORK. I worked on Toby as I said for hours putting him up to rest and doing my other dogs trying for a timely manor for my other customers whose dogs were well kept and not matted. Dematting can be painful and is hard on all dogs especially puppies. It takes an exeptional groomer to do it painlesly, I preformed a mirical that day and toby did not cry or even whimper once. Sarah called 3 timesI gave her progress reports back legs dematted, sides finished etc. She came at 5:30 toby was just getting finished. A++++ for my work. Sarah said "I dont think I should pay you because you have inconvienced me and my family".I told her she made the CHOICE TO GIVE ME THE TIME I could of easily stripped him in less than 2hrs. I tried to tell her I did what she asked and should be paid for a job well done. She left with a smerk on her face, she never intended to pay me TIME was just her ONLY excuse. And yes my grommer did say " You got just what you wanted B#@$#@. That wasn't right but dog grooming is hard work. Doing a good job and not getting paid the $40.00 I was charging did make me rude. How many of you would work hard do a good job and not get paid and be happy about it ? LIKE I SAID THERE 2 SIDES TO EVERY STORY…
Horrible Service!!!!!!. This place is run by trashy people who called a family memeber of mine a B&*%# An appointment was made yet the pet was not even worked on until 6 hours later!!! I DO NOT recommend this place. You get what you pay for!!!!…
