We Loved it....

The food was great, on time, not a bad price. It was about 4pm..only a few people in there. The womens restroom was WAY too cold! there needs to be heat in there and I think the hot water was off....I need warm water to wash my hands.

Other then that, we loved our dinner.

Not Good! No happy hour?

NO HAPPY HOUR!!?? and they close at like 9pm literaly waiting to kick you out! and there food is NOT that good!

The owner walks around strutting his little self like it's a retirement job with no concern for the happiness of customers! "I feel like opening a Mexican place with a lively bar, music, happy hour, Salsa dancing.. we could sure use a fun place in Granite Bay! :)

Not a dining atmosphere more like a play ground.

First we were surprised to see that the restaurant appeared to be quite unkept. My family and I had eaten in this restaurant before and don't remember it to be run down like it was. Maybe if they just cleaned the carpets. Then we were disappointed to find the food to be so bland. Good but just bland.

The real disappointment was when teenagers from other tables were running around the dining area laughing and carrying each other with no respect to anyone else that may be just trying to have a relaxing dinner. I know that there are factors that the restaurant has no control of but when the teens were rolling through the dining area on their scooters, the employees or the management should have attempted to gain control for the sake of the other diners. But a lot like their food, not much effort was applied and what was resulted was that we paid good money to have our dinner at a Mexican Chucky Cheese instead of a quiet dining atmosphere that we were expecting.

I was very disappointed and the price of the bill was sure not worth it. Taco Bell could have given a better atmosphere...........actually I wish I had went to Taco Bell last night!

• Cons: Everything else....

Best Calamari steak..

Fresh homade tortillias and ask them to make you chips out of the flour tortillias... The calamari steak is one the best I've ever had, and it comes with two large prawns on top with rice and beans..

• Pros: Fresh Mex
• Cons: Watch out for all the placer cops.... Even with one drink they are all over.

One of the Best Mexican Restaurants around.

I really don't know why these reviewers giving this restaurant bad reviews? They must now know the difference between great mexican food. I enjoyed every minute at Cabos Restaurant. Not only do they have great food but also a staff that is really nice. I ate the "tepa" burrito and it was so good. If you like carnitas and also burritos, eat this! Another time I ate the nachos and I must say, there's no other place i rather eat nachos than at cabos. The waiter was nice and the owner was there to say "hi" and how I was doing. Thought that was nice. The price was reasonable too. I don't know where these other reviewers eat out at but Taco Bell doesn't qualify for restaurant quality and price. Overall, I would say that cabos restaurants is one of my favorite mexican places to eat as well as my friends. I would recommend eating here if you like mexican food. I think they have a website too. The w's "Cabosrestaurants" dot you know what.

• Pros: Friendly staff, great food.
• Cons: On the big screen at the bar, they didn't have the 49er game on. I think they had the Raiders.

Not bad food, but over priced drinks makes the food even worse

So if you are looking for a "double" margarita...this is not the place to get it, unless your money grows on trees. My margarita that was suppose to be a "double" was so sweet like it was pure sweet and sour. My friend that I was with had two "double" margarita's and hers were just as sweet. The food was not bad, this was our first time here. When we got the bill our 3 margarita's were $24 and then there was a seperate charge for the "double" at an additional $19 and some odd change. We asked the waitress why the double charge was so expensive and she said that is just how they do it. Then we asked what "extra" tequila they used (thinking if it was Patron the pirice would be expected) but no they put some odd brand of Reposado. I think if you get a double that they should just make the margarita normal and give you an extra shot on the side so that you can actually put it in yourself, rather than feel so ripped off. I have never had a "double" charge that was more than the price of the individual margarita itself....so bummed.

If you dare to go here my advice: Just order a regular margarita and a shot of whatever tequila that you want on the side---or you too will get scammed. :-(

best chips in Granite Bay

The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. The bar is quiet and the service is excellent. I didn't need to ask the server for more Chips and Salsa they simply noticed. My drinks were replenished and the prices are great from food to drinks.

• Pros: Great food, great service
• Cons: I cannot think of any cons other than do not go on your lunch break, you may not want to go back to work

Unique Upscale Mexican Menu, Reasonable Prices

Great food, excellent service, relaxing atmosphere, rarely a wait. Not your average and usual Mexican food. One of the few Mexican restaurants in the Sacramento area that serves FLOUR tortilla chips. Wide variety of menu choices. The Calamari Costa Brava is simply to die for. Well worth a long drive

• Pros: Menu variety, Service, Parking. Highly Recommended
• Cons: Been a customer for five years, even brought large groups on two occasions. Cannot think of a single con.

best mexican food ever without lard

We have always been very impresed with Cabos. The food there is always fresh and they do not use any lard in their cooking. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
