I'm not really sure how Cherygirl could say that their fish and chips were good because mine were anything but! After eating one piece I understood why it was only $7.95 for 3 pieces; it didn't taste fresh and was along the lines of the fish sticks I used to eat when I was 5. Then I tried to bite into the second piece only to discover that it was still frozen in the middle! I thought of sending it back but I was no longer hungry because I couldn't get the feeling and taste of biting into frozen fish out of my head! Yuck! On the plus side their waffle fries are awesome and their IPA is great and only $2 on Tuesdays!

Pros: Cheap beer on Tuesdays

Cons: Still frozen fish in fish&chips basket

The best time to go get a beer in Sacramento on tuesdays because there only $2 all night. Not a bar scene, but bring friends and drink it up before you go out!

I expected to go to Rubicon and get the typical pub food that I experinece at most brewery/restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at Rubicon. The fish and chips were awesome and all prices were very reasonable. The beer was very good as well. We took our 5 year old son, and he enjoyed his kids meal as well as the relaxing seating offered outside. We also recieved very good attentive service.

This midtown brewery makes microbrews that are perfect for washing down a burger, sandwich or fish and chips.  See the full editorial review.
