it was actually good!

One does not expect above average food at a dinner theatre-do they? Well it was. Being a lamb shank afficionado, I had to try it and it was quite good, my dining partner had the apricot pork which was good but not great, the spinach salad was excellent. The show was outstanding and we were pleasantly surprised by the dinner. Patience is a virtue when it comes to the service-but they try hard.
Sacramento's own little bit of Branson--the apparent first choice for birthday and anniversary celebrations with the polyester crowd.

The Scene
Sacramentans wear shorts to the symphony, but they dress up for Garbeau's. An emcee spotlights celebrants and does pre-show announcements and patter. Housed in a single, cavernous room, with tables arranged around the stage, the atmosphere is reminiscent of a Nevada dinner show, but more intimate. A small selection of beer and wine, plus Dom Perignon, is available, as well as a full bar that appears to do a brisk business in daiquiris.
The Food
Included with the price of a show ticket is a dinner entree with soup or salad. Choices include lamb, beef, chicken and pasta. If you want steak or the daily special, it'll cost you $8-$10 extra. Appetizers, dessert and after-dinner drinks are also available at additional cost.
