What users are saying:
What you see from the freeway is mainly what you get: short, fall-line runs from the ridge.

The Scene
There isn't much vertical drop here, but Boreal does offer quick access from I-80, snowmaking on 100 acres, high elevation and consistent snowfall. The resort is spread out lengthwise, with most of the tree-lined runs at opposite ends. Jibassic Terrain Park, with jumps and obstacles for snowboarders, is off the Mineshaft chairlift. Facilities include two groomed half-pipes and a nighttime-only terrain park.
The Slopes
If you're not on a learning curve, stay away from the slopes fronting the day lodge, which are filled with novice skiers and snowboarders. Less crowded spots are at opposite ends of the area and on the back side. Take the Accelerator quad lift to the top and work your way to one of these areas. You'll find few skiers on the Cedar Ridge and Lost Dutchman triples. If snowpack is ample (or if conditions are a little icy), try the Quicksilver Quad on the back side.

For $36 a day doesn't come cheaper, also with a pass once you buy 3 tickets the 4th is free. The closest to San Francisco. And wasn't too crowded, at least when i went. I would definately go again, what am i saying i'm going this Friday, Dec 10th. Good Luck
