The BEST Massage Ever

I've just finished my second massage in a week at Lighthouse Spa in Tahoe City. The first was with Bethany and was utterly fantastic. The second (today's) was with Candice. Really amazing. Courteous staff, a lake view and the very best massage therapists. I'm here from New York, and have not had a massage in NYC in recent years to compete. Four of us in our group have been this week and all agree, so count this review as coming from all of us. We all highly recommend it. Fantastic - thank you!

Get the massage...forget the nails!

OK...let me just say that I got the best massage I've ever had from Candice...amazing. I wish I could just review based on the massage...this would be a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, I also got a manicure and pedicure and it was the worst experience I've ever had. You could forgive it if they didn't charge $90.+ for the manicure and pedicure! I honestly don't know where to begin. Other than very lightly pushing my cuticles back my hands and feet are in the same condition as when I stepped in their door. They didn't have fresh polish, they couldn't do a french manicure, they didn't didn't clean up my cuticles or around the nails at all! They couldn't buff my fingernails either so I had her put clear on them...she gave me one coat...it's gone now...two days later! I was so agast at the level of the servce that I ddin't see the point in telling them about it...they're seriously clueless on this part of their business. The pedicure was worse than the manicure. It all took an hour after my massage and I was so stressed just trying to be nice and let her finish that the massage had clearly worn off by the time I walked out the door. The manicurist was fresh out of beauty school and not only was not equipped with the proper implements, there was no light for her to work with and she told me in conversation that they don't do much business in manicures and pedicures. No kidding! I'm not the confrontational type so I smiled, let her finish, paid my bill with tip and left...just grateful to get out of there. Don't waste your money on their other services. This is a massage place...period! I would have rated it higher based on the massage but I feel so taken by their misleading advertising!
