Meat Market
by neekoneeko
Meat market action. I guess it used to be a really cool spot to go dancing back in the day but if your going out in Sacramento why in the world would you go hear. Dream, Avalon, The Park and the list goes on... If thats your fort-ay. They dont even bother to have it on Suckramento...
- Pros: trashy
- Cons: trashy
Dirty-both the place and people
by jenway90
I would NOT recommend 815 L St. Please do not think that this is the place to see or be seen. The location of the club is in a less than desirable area, the club feels dirty, and most people that go there aren't really into dancing. Alot of the girls tend to dance girl on girl while guys try to grab their bodies. Gross! The bartenders are nice and the drinks aren't terribly expensive. Still, I do not frequent this place at all. Oh, and the music is almost always bad.
- Pros: Drinks aren't too bad
- Cons: Everything else
This grade-A meet market provides the perfect setting for dancing, drinking and urban debauchery.

The Scene
Beautiful dark-wood booths surround a full-service bar, sided by a generous, dramatically lit dance floor. Upstairs are two other rooms, open weekends only: Ricki Love's, with a cigar bar and DJ dancing, and the Velvet Lounge, a rest stop overlooking the main dance floor.
The Draw
Popular with students and young urban professionals, this is one of Sacramento's premier singles' spots. Thursday night is Rhythm, featuring house and club classics. On Friday, the club hosts legendary local DJs Bryan Hawk and Eddie O'Doul in coordination with Quad 106.5, while Saturday is the Zone--devoted to high-energy dance and house.
Thursday Nights at 815
by DJnoGigButStillFly
In Sacramento, there is no hotter spot on a Thursday night than 815 L Street. DJ's spin hip-hop (downstairs), and soulful house (upstairs). You'll see 'beautiful people' ages 21-40 in the downtown Sacramento club. Don't waste your time showing up before 10 pm. It jumps off by 11:30 usually. ...Use the parking garage across the street.
- Pros: Good DJ's, Friendly Staff, Exotic Dancers Spot
- Cons: No Pat Down, No Shorts, No Tennis Shoes
Off the Hook!

Comfortable but sometimes crowded! Good place to drink, dance, and meet new people!!!!
- Pros: inexpensive, different music
- Cons: no good parking
reeks!!

This place freaken stinks, literally! I've been to a few dance clubs but I don't think this is the place to go meet attractive people. The music is alright, I'm more into Rock/Metal (not many clubs like that). You might as well get plastered before the club (if you choose to go) cuz you'll spend a fortune just getting beer. In my opinion, save yourself the time and $$$ and go someplace you know you like!
- Pros: decent music
- Cons: smells, expensive
Not impressed
by klamen
I heard ads for 815 L and expected an upscale club, but found it to be a converted restaurant with some lights. The place didn't seem clean... even though there were open booths, I couldn't sit on THAT seat.
- Pros: got in free
- Cons: bad cosmo, wasn't clean
