I contracted with Foothill Driving School to teach my mother driving. An instructor named Joel took on the task. After a few classes, he went completerly AWOL for about a month. His cell phone was disconnected and he would not reply to emails. Foothill Driving School threw their hands up and said they had no way of contacting him, as he was a franchisee and not an employee of theirs. Ultimately, about a month after our original schedule, Joel did set up a test for my mother, long after her last practice session with him. He shows up at the DMV, about 30 minutes before the test in a completely different car from the one she had practiced in. You can guess the result of the driving test. If you choose Foothills, please ensure that your driving instructor is an employee and not a franchisee as they have no control over their franchisees.
Pros: Instructor was good when he did show up and when he was not AWOL
Cons: Instructor went AWOL for about a month and showed up for the test in a different car than the one practiced on

Foothill's instructors were awesome. They were all very patient and they all knew what they were talking about. It was cool cuz there wasnt the pressure of other people in the car, and the instructor went at my pace. I wasnt forced into situations I wasnt ready for. I did have 4 different instructors (by choice, I like variety), and they were all great. It was definitely worth our money. They even picked me up at school and at home, and then took me home after. That was cool =D. Plus, the cars are pretty nice [[and new]]. Overall, it was cool and I totally recommend Foothill to everyone.
Pros: lessons 7 days/wk, service, pickup/dropoff, instruction, new cars

The guys and gals at Foothill took great care of us. Excellent service. Good lessons. My daughter loved her instructor, and we got free pickups at home. Thanks to Dave and the whole crew. We'll be back with daughter #2 next summer!
Pros: Home pickups, female instructor, one on one lessons, passed test first try!
