I have been to Lush once and was very happy with the experience. You walk in and they offer you something to drink. They then have you change into a smock so you don't get your clothes dirty. They did a great job on my hair. I have never received so many compliments on my hair!

Cisco = Best eyebrow sculptor EVER

This review is for Cisco, master eyebrow designer.

I'm 23 years old and I've been going to Cisco to get my eyebrows waxed for the last 7 years. I live in San Francisco, and have yet to find anyone who compares to Cisco's mastery and skill. In attempt to find someone in San Francisco with comparable skill, I've had several estheticians take a shot at my brows . . . and in comparing them to Cisco, my eyebrows have come out destroyed - over waxed, under or over trimmed, using poor quality products, I've had it all. I'm no Brook Shields, but people have told me that my eyebrows are my trademark feature and I know that I wouldn't get those kind of compliments if I went to someone else for my eyebrows.

A lot of estheticians can do a decent job of fixing your brows up, but Cisco has an extremely rare talent. He can take a quick glance at your eyebrows and know exactly what to do with them. I've gone to other places where they've had to wax SEVERAL small sections at a time because they didn't know how to wax them symmetrically or because they really don't know how to shape them according to my face frame. Not Cisco. Literally, he applies a section of wax above the bridge of your nose, underneath each brow, and above if necessary. He never has to take "second shots" and rewax... he just gets it right the first time, everytime. For any of you who are into cosmetics, comparing Cisco to other Estheticians is like comparing Bobbi Brown Long Wearing Gel Eyeliner to wet and wild eyeliner... or a Shu Uemura Eyelash curler to one of those eyelash curlers that you can just buy at the drugstore for really cheap. There really isn't much of a comparison once you see the results of the former.

If you've ever been skeptical of getting your eyebrows waxed or skeptical of switching persons if you already get them done by someone else, you've gotta give Cisco a shot. Once Cisco does your brows, you'll never go anywhere else. He's simply the best.

I'm stickin with Lush

After going to the same hairstylist for 15 years and having to switch, I chose Lush after reading the reviews on here and scheduled with Rachel. I was excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because of the rave reviews but nervous because its a new person touching with my hair. I was impressed with the whole salon and Rachel did an awesome job with my hair. She listened to what I wanted and worked with me so I would be happy in the end. Well, I left there very happy with my whole experience at Lush and plan on returning. Looking for someone new? I'm sure there's lots of great stylists at Lush, but Rachel is highly recommended by me.

Rachel: Master of curly hair

For those of you with curls, you know what I mean when I say that it is SO DIFFICULT to find someone who knows how to handle your hair. Finally, after years of terrible haircuts by straight-haired people who just don't understand the joys and struggles of curliness, I found RACHEL TAYLOR. As a fellow curly-haired gal, she has given me the best haircuts ever! Also, she has made great product and hair-habit recommendations. My hair has never looked better or been healthier. The only reason I gave Lush 4 rather than 5 stars is that they are really pricey. For me, though, it is worth the extra cost.

• Pros: Rachel, usually good customer service, great scalp massage with hair wash
• Cons: Cost, sometimes have to book far in advance

Great style and customer service

I have been letting Shannon cut and color my hair for the past 10 years. And I do mean letting her as I never know which style or color I want when I walk into Lush but I always walk out looking very stylish (not like a "soccer mom" which I dread!) The assistants are always very friendly and helpful whether bringing cucumber water, scheduling my future appointments or finding something for my kids to color on...My experience is always great...I highly recommend it!!

The best place to go for beautiful hair

I love Lush!! Shannon colors, highlights and cuts my hair, and it is perfect everytime I walk out of there!!! I think she's a hair goddess! I also really like the front desk people and the assistants. They are very friendly and helpful. It's great when you can have fun and get a great style at the same time!! I highly recommend Lush!!!

Rachel Taylor Rocks

Too expensive for too little experience

The stylists have very little experience. The cost of a cut here is not worth it at all! You can go to a top stylist and walk away with the best cut of your life for less than the prices they charge here. They hire stylists right out of beauty school - they require/provide no additional training or anything.
