Instead of pushing for commission, each salesperson makes the same amount of money, so the sticker price really is the sticker price. Each of the 300-400 SUVs, vans, light trucks and cars on site undergoes an extensive inspection (flood, frame, odometer checks included) and reconditioning before they are ready to sell. Plus, CarMax will make a cash offer on your vehicle that's good for a week, whether you buy from them or not.

while we successfully purchased a car there over 2 years ago, we just bought another and have had nothing but awful service, from the sales gal through purchasing, and into service already a couple of times. poor communication and follow through with many excuses. sadly i would not recommend this location to anyone anymore, although i still think the idea is fabulous. what happened in 2 years?
- Pros: pricing and no haggles
- Cons: extremely poor follow through

great place to buy a car, receive service for your car, and get accessories for your car. Employees are very friendly, service is great! Would recommend all my friends and family go to CarMax!

We purchased an F250 in November of 2003 for a great price. I loved the fact we could shop and the kids were watched for us. THis made the whole deal a lot easier.
PROS: Great Prices, Friendly non pushy staff
CONS: They don't do trade ins

These people really treat you like a person rather than a mark. They are not the cheapest store in town, but the service is good enough to make up for that. Good selection of cars, plus on line shopping and ordering.
PROS: good selection of good used cars, no preasure salepersons
CONS: its in Roseville

we went there to shop around for used cars and were very pleased with the way we were treated. My eighteen year old daughter was the customer and the salewoman was very patient and answered all her questions about loans and interest, which is like pulling teeth at most dealers, until you sign the papers.
PROS: good service and selection
